TABLE IS DRONING

Firstly, what make me a person? Who is the person?

The photo was shoot at the first week I came London, standing among this strange environment with a certificate photo of myself. Seeing myself as the object hold in my hand, I believed my identity was also strange to me.

Yes, I was born into a human in modern society, a Chinese girl shape into a spatial designer, just like the wood is produced into a specific peice of furniture.

And I tried to become something else, anything rather than a human. Similar as Thomas’s GoatMan, feeling a joy that might stem from this absurdity, yes, as well as ‘the novelty of the experience that step by step detached from human beings.’ It is indeed an effective way to escape from the expectations of human society.

“Table likes to be surrounded by people
A humble gesture
And still feigning sturdiness.”

As a tableman, I found myself looking forward to being used – I got excited with people around, facing me, sometimes putting their hand on my shoulder, and I even felt helpless and lost when people left. So I tried hard to stand still and be as strong as other tables in the ballroom. Anyway the people in ballroom that night said I was the best.

And I also strat a program called TheTable, gathering people together with interests as motivation.
